Who kicked the longest field goal in high school history of South Carolina?

You say that a kicker is all leg if they really get into a kick. But you can easily say that Richard Jackson of Riverside high school truly is all leg. Richard Jackson set the South Carolina high school record for a successful field goal. Richard kicked a 64 yard field goal on October 14, 2005 against Union high school.

Don Frost, Ruverside head coach, explained:

He’s got the leg. He’s kicked 70-yarders in practice. Hey, we were down 6-3 (late in the second quarter). So we tried to score, and it gave us a shot in the arm.

The former record holder was Middleton high school kicker Daniel Jordan, who set the record in 1995.

Jackson attributes his success to playing soccer since 7th grade. So impressed was Neil Rackers of the Arizona Cardinals, he told Jackson's parents that he may have a future in the NFL.

You can imagine the attention this has gotten from colleges around the country, but Richard Jackson is going to Clemson.
