What is the longest field goal ever kicked by a Minnesota Vikings player?

On October 23, 2005 Paul Edinger kicked a 56 yard field goal at the end of the game. The game was the Green Bay Packers versus the Minnesota Vikings. Here is information about the game:

  • Started at 12:00pm CT.

  • Played in the Minneapolis Metro Dome.

  • The final score was 23-20 with the Minnesota Vikings winning.

Paul Edinger holds the record for longest field goal by a Minnesota Vikings player at 56 yards. This was an indoor field goal. The record had previously been held by Jan Stenerud who kicked a  54 yard field goal in 1984. The record stood for 21years.
