Going undefeated in an NFL season is tough. You have injuries, surprise teams, trap games and the weather that all conspire to keep you from going undefeated. We all know the last undefeated team for an entire season was the Miami Dolphins in 1972.

Here is a complete list of the undefeated teams since 1970:

  • 1972 - Miami Dolphins: 14-0
  • 1998 - Denver Broncos: 13-0
  • 2005 - Indianapolis Colts: 13-0
  • 1985 - Chicago Bears: 12-0
  • 1984 - Miami Dolphins: 11-0
  • 1991 - Washington Redskins: 11-0
  • 1975 - Minnesota Vikings: 10-0
  • 1990 - New York Giants: 10-0
  • 1990 - San Francisco: 10-0
  • 1973 - Minnesota Vikings: 9-0
  • 2003 - Kansas City Chiefs: 9-0
