(Showboat) Boykin showed off his scoring talents on December 1, 1951, setting a major-college record by making seven touchdowns in one game as the Rebels walloped Mississippi State, 49-7, in Starkville, Miss. Boykin scored on runs covering 85, 21, 14, 12, 14, 1 and 5 yards and rushed for 187 yards overall on 14 carries (a 13.4 average per attempt). Jimmy Lear.
