Leading off the bottom of the 12th inning of Game 6 of the 1975 World Series against the Cincinnati Reds, Boston catcher Carlton Fisk homered high off the left-field foul pole to give the Red Sox a 7-6 victory and tie the Series at three games apiece.

Bernie Carbo. Boston pinch-hitter whose three-run homer in the eighth inning off Rawly Eastwick tied the score, 6-6. It was Carbo's second pinch homer of the Series, tying the record set by Los Angeles' Chuck Essegian in 1959.
