Who hit the most RBIs in a baseball game for the Angels?

An RBI in the baseball game is usually a single digit affair. Garret Anderson blew this away for the Angels when he tallied 10 RBIs against the New York Yankees on August 21, 2007. The New York Yankees ended up losing the game by 9 runs. It would have been funny if they would have lost.

The last Angel that had a ton of RBIs was everyman Vladimir Guerrero who hit 8 of them in 2004. 

Garret hit his RBIs thanks to the following:

  • 2 run double
  • 1 run double
  • 3 run homer
  • 4 run grand slam

No ticky tack RBIs there. Garret Anderson nailed them all.

About the adulation from the fans, Garret said the following:

It's nice when the fans appreciate you. I think it's the first one I've had, and it was kind of a shock.

Garret's been in the big leagues for 13 years, so it's nice to see him getting some respect and a sports record.
